The Citrus Attachment gears the juicer down from 3600 to 250 Rpm's. This speed will let you juice citrus fruits quickly and efficiently. Just push down like an old fashioned reamer and the unit will only spin when you push down. When the center piece is full of pulp just lift it out and dump it, than your ready to juice again. The reamer allows just enough pulp into the juice to give you a fresh healthy citrus juice. The Model 1500 is stylish, durable, dependable, efficient and very easy to clean. The Citrus Attachment will work on the omega Model 9000, 1000 and 500 Juicers.
The attachment stopped working within 5 minutes after juicing less than 10 oranges (appeared to have stripped gears). Hopefully I just happened to get a defective product as it has been sent back for replacement. The unit does not appear to be very well made. Not too impressed thus far.
